A Thoughtful Transformation of a 1930s Home

Underneath the text, you’ll find more pictures.

In this stunning 1930s home, we have carefully reimagined the layout to create a more open and connected living space. A section of an interior wall was removed to make way for an inviting kitchen, blending modern functionality with the charm of the original architecture.
To maintain a sense of separation while still allowing light and sightlines to flow, we designed a custom-built shelving unit within the existing framework of the doorway. This feature serves as both a divider and a visual connection between the sitting room and the living area.

The kitchen now forms a refined focal point of the home, featuring custom-built cabinetry in a deep wood finish. The light natural stone countertops and backsplash introduce a soft, organic contrast, with subtle veining. A striking detail can be found in the beautifully crafted knobs embedded into the front edge of the stone surface.
