Our inaugural project in Little C! The esteemed new construction endeavor, Little Coolhaven, encompasses 15 integrated residential and commercial towers. This project stands as a self-contained ‘village’, boasting an authentic and industrial character. For this industrious couple, we had the privilege of orchestrating the entire design and coordination process for both their home and office. The outcome was an exhilarating yet refined space, seamlessly integrating into the innovative environment of Little C.

In this design, our focus was on creating a sense of security. The expansive layout of the home, coupled with its industrial exterior, necessitated elements of comfort and coziness. We crafted various nooks within the residence where the occupants can seek solace. Notably, the two white pivot doors, positioned between the hall and the living room, can be fully closed, seamlessly blending into the wall.

Numerous bespoke elements were incorporated into the home, including ample storage solutions, wardrobe closets, and a purpose-built music cabinet. Soft and warm woods were predominantly utilized to harmonize with the steel elements throughout the space. Examples include the custom walnut veneer sideboard running the length of the home and the oak-lacquered vanity in the master bathroom.

In the accompanying office, also situated in Little C, a playful yet luxurious green tile was chosen for both the toilet and shower areas. Here, we integrated soft oak-painted wood into the kitchen block for a cohesive aesthetic. To maximize space utilization, we designed a sleeping area atop the block for short rests or guests, creating a welcoming environment.

Client’s review:

“We are VERY satisfied with the design and coordination work of DOEN! We are still delighted with the end result every day. The execution and delivery were excellent. The intake (including the questionnaire) and the design process were also very pleasant, especially because of how well they catered to our individual wishes and preferences. There were no compromises; instead, they sought the optimal overlap. Our home and office are now often the settings for photoshoots.

The cost estimates were good, although the project became slightly more expensive due to choices we made during the design process. However, those choices were ours to make. DOEN managed to stay within the agreed timeline, and everything was delivered on time, which was quite a challenge during the Covid period.

The aftercare was good, and any issues or delayed deliveries were resolved as quickly as possible. Communication during the work was clear, partly thanks to a shared WhatsApp group.

As already mentioned, we are very satisfied and happy with the end result!”
